Privacy

This page says what FieldSight keeps about you and what you can do about it.

What we store

• Your name and email address.
• Your password, stored scrambled. Nobody can read it, not even the administrator.
• Your answers to each question, whether they were right, and how long each one took.
• Any problem reports you send about a question.
• The words you look up in word help, so you can review them later.
• Your passes: which pass you have, when it started and when it ends.
• If you buy a pass: the payment and customer numbers Stripe gives us. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your card number.

Who can see it

• You can see your own record.
• If you joined with a class code, your instructors can see your record.
• The FieldSight administrator, who runs this site, can see all records.
• Other students cannot see your name or your scores.
• We do not sell your data. We do not use it for ads. We do not share it, except with the services below that run the site.

Services that help run the site

• Cloudflare carries traffic between your browser and our server.
• Stripe takes payments. Its own privacy policy covers the card details you give it.
• Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.
• We use one sign-in cookie. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

What this is not

• This site is not part of any course grade unless your program tells you so.
• The questions are drafts under expert review. Some may contain errors. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem.
• Nothing here is medical advice. Nothing here is your agency's protocol. Follow your protocols and your medical director.

How long we keep it

• We keep your record while your account is open, even after your pass ends, so you can come back to it.
• If you joined through a program, the program may ask us to delete its records when its agreement ends.

How to delete it

• Open My account and choose Delete my account and data. Your account, answers, sessions and looked-up words are removed.
• Problem reports you sent are kept without your name, so we can still fix the question.
• Payment records stay with Stripe, as the law requires.
• You can choose Download my data first to keep a copy.
